FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. How many books can I check out?
Students may check out up to five books.
2. What if I lose or damage my book?
Students who lose their book are first encouraged to look everywhere for the book. Popular hiding places include the classroom library, backpack, under the sofa or bed, in the toy box, and the lost and found at school. If the book still cannot be located, a note is sent home with the price of the book.
It is important for students to let the librarians know as soon as possible about a damaged book. Some books we are able to repair here in the library. No fines will be charged in these cases. For books damaged beyond repair, students will be charged for the book which will be dealt with in the same manner as a lost book.
3. What do I do if I lost or damaged beyond repair my ID/lunch/library card?
Students who have lost their card need to either come to the library or let their teacher know as soon as possible. New cards are $5.00 each.
